If you are looking to view breathtaking scenery, experience the energy of the elements at their most raw, enjoy peace and quiet at it's best, or simply listen to the sounds of nature doing it's thing, then you have chosen well to set foot on the Isle of Skye. 

We live in Valtos which is about 15 miles North of Portree, about 3 miles short of Staffin. The scenes from the front of the house are truely panoramic, with views East to Rona, the Northern half of Raasay and further again to Applecross. Out ahead Red Point and Big Sand can be seen.

The picturesque Old Man of Storr can be viewed from only a short trip across the road.

The skies are powerful and unpredictable and often exreme in one way or another.
